CASE STUDY

St Margarets

In collaboration with the developer Meadway Homes we have recently gained planning permission for 9 dwellings in Windlesham, Surrey to replace an existing dwelling. As part of the project team we assisted Iconic Architectural Design in developing a scheme which made the best use of the land available whilst having regard to The Council’s adopted planning policies including the retention of trees, highway safety and acceptable design.

The planning permission was allowed on appeal having been refused by the Local Planning Authority primarily due to concerns that the development would not be in keeping with the character and appearance of the area.

In allowing the appeal the appointed Planning Inspector agreed that the development was of a suitable design and layout that would not cause harm to the character or appearance of the area but instead would be sympathetic to local character and the surrounding built environment.  Site Plans
